  • Crewhub’s mission is to offer marine professionals with an online document management platform, dedicated profile, and connect mariner's with potential employers. In connection with our mission, we are committed to offer such service and be transparent about the data we collect about you, how we use it, and whith whom it is shared.

    This Privacy Policy applies when you register and use our platform/services as described below. By registering with us, you agree to the terms described below.

    Crewhub is part of Gattulven AB, a Sweden-based company located at Bygdevägen 2, SE-475 32 Öckerö, Sweden. Crewhub specializes in Staffing, Recruiting/Headhunting, and Consulting Service. In connection with this, we use Crewhub as an online document management sytem for Mariner's to digitally upload, manage, share, and store their document. This make the recruiting process much easier and faster, as well as gives Mariner's the possibility to digitally store their documents, and certificates. Thus, never having to worry about the document placement. Additionally, keep track of your documents' and certificates' expiration dates, and get notifications about document's expiry at six months, three months, and one month intervals.

    This privacy policy will explain in detail what data Crewhub collects, and how Crewhub uses the data we collect from you when you refister, and use our website.

  • What data we collect

    Registration
    To create an account with us, you need to provide your name, email address, and a password. Your name, email, and password are encrypted, and stored in our database for login verification.

    Your Profile
    After registration, you can choose what information do you wish to update in your profile, such as professional information, work experience, skills, photo, address, career interests, references, CV etc.. This information you don’t have to provide; however, profile information helps you to get more from our services, including helping recruiters and business opportunities find you. It’s your choice whether to include sensitive information on your profile and to make that sensitive information public.

    All information that you fill in your profile page is encrypted and stored in our database. For you to be able to view and edit your information, your information is decrypted using our unique encryption/decryption algorithm, and is displayed to you. Any changes that you make to your information, is then re-encrypted and stored back in our database.

    Documents uploading
    We take extra security steps when you upload documents, and certificates, or any other attachments that has been uploaded through Crewhub's document upload page. Your documents are stored at a different location - outside of the publicly accessible folders. All the document details, such as; document category, document name, expiration date, and document path are encrypted and stored in our database.

    Documents details viewing
    With all the extra steps we take to ensure that your information is as safe as possible, we still need to decrypt your document details for you to be able to view and edit. Any changes that you make to your document details are re-encrypted, and stored back in their original location.

    Viewing, editting, deleting documents
    When you wish to view, edit, or delete your documents, to protect your from any undesired changes, and to prevent any potential attacks, we use a few security checks in the background, and if these checks are not passed, we log you out of our system, end all your session details, and notify you via email of any potentially undesired changes to your documents. In the email that we send you, we include some details about the origin, proxy, IP address, forwarded on behalf, and the origin of the potential attack. Additionally, we send the seme details to Crewhub's managemt for review and further action.

  • How do we collect your data

    You directly provide Crewhub with all of the data we collect. We collect data and process data when you:

    1. Register an account with Crewhub.
    2. Voluntarily complete a customer survey or provide feedback on any of our message boards or via email.
    3. We collect your data via webforms, or in the form of document uploading.

  • How will we use your data

    To get the best and full benefits of our services, it is undestandable that some of your data must be shared, however, we only share your information with potential and serious employers. Furthermore, we only share information that is relevant to positions offered. Your documents are not shared with anyone. However, we do share the document titles, and expiration dates. This infomration helps potential epmployers to find the right talent, and improve your chances of securing a long and prosperious career in the Marine industry

    If you agree, Our Company will share your data with our partner companies so that they may offer you their services. However, prior, we ask for your permission, and only share data that is relevant.

  • How do we store your data

    Your profile information collected via our web-forms is encrypted and stored in our database. Our database is secured with a complex password and only the administrator has full access.

  • How do we store your documents

    Your documents are stored outside of the publicly accessible folders. Your document details are encrypted and stored in our database. All documents get a unique name and get moved to a special and dedicated home folder that only you have access to. The document names, expiry dates and path are encrypted and stored in the database so we can decrypted it for you to be able to view, edit, or delete it.

  • Marketing

    At the moment, we don't use memeber data for marketing. However, to be able to provide you much more out of our service, this may change in the future. With your permission, we may share certain information that are relevant to positions that you have expressed interest in.

  • What are your data protection rights

    You can delete all your documents at any time. When you delete your documents all data related to that particular document is permanently removed from our system. You still have the option of uploading new document if you wish. If you choose to delete your account, all your data along with all your documents is removed, and your account is completely deleted from our system. This means that you cannot use our platform and our service, unless you create a new account. If you create a new account, you start over. No prior data is available.

    Any changes to our privacy will be published here on our privacy page, and we will notify all our members via email about the changes.
